Manila: Six flights between Manila, Hong Kong and Taipei were canceled on Friday due to Super Typhoon Yagi (formerly Severe Tropical Storm Enteng). The Manila International Airport Authority said the four Cebu Pacific flights were 5J 110/111 and 5J 272/273 Manila-Hong Kong-Manila. As of 2 p.m., Royal Dutch Airlines KL 807/808 Taipei-Manila-Taipei flights were also canceled. The weather bureau said Yagi was last tracked 825 km. west of northern Luzon, heading for southern China. Yagi packs maximum sustained winds of 195 kph and gustiness of up to 240 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Source: Philippines News Agency
