Chachoengsao, Tragic: A young man stopped to change a tire on the expressway and was hit by a truck with full force, causing his death in front of his wife and mother. Yesterday (July 21) at approximately 10:30 AM, Bang Pakong Police Station and rescue workers from Bang Pakong Hospital inspected a car accident on the Burapha Withi Expressway heading into Bangkok in Tambon Bang Wua, Amphoe Bang Pakong. At the scene, a pickup truck with a Chachoengsao license plate was found parked on the side of the road with a flat right rear tire and tire changing equipment on the road. In front of the truck, the body of Mr. Thirayut, aged 31, the pickup truck driver, was found dead. His wife and family members were sitting beside him crying. Nearby, a six-wheeled truck was found driven by Mr. Methinee, aged 32. Mr. Methinee stated that while he was driving into Bangkok, he did not see Mr. Thirayut who was sitting on the side of the road changing a tire when he arrived at the scene of the accident, causing him to hit Mr. T hirayut, throwing him away. Ms. Wari, 62, the mother of Mr. Thirayut, stated that her son was driving to visit relatives in Nakhon Pathom, where he was accompanied by his wife, 3 children, and his mother and father. He had just driven on the Burapha Withi Expressway for less than 5 minutes when the rear right tire burst. She controlled the car and pulled over to the side of the road without calling the expressway officials. Her son then quickly got out to change the tire himself, while his father got out to wave at the back of the car. However, she heard a noise from the side of the car and quickly got out to check, only to find that her son had been hit by a car. The police will question both parties again.
