Arresting a young man high on methamphetamine who stole a car while it was parked to warm up the engine

Bangkok, Police patrol officers from 3 police stations joined forces to hunt down a young man high on methamphetamine who stole a car while the victim was warming up the engine. Police from 3 police stations, Thung Maha Mek Police Station, Phra Khanong Police Station and Tha Ruea Police Station, arrested Mr. Somsak, 22 years old, a suspect in a theft case, along with evidence of a Toyota car. The arrest was made at the entrance to Eua Amorn Suk Condo, Phra Khanong Subdistrict, Phra Khanong District, Bangkok. Following up on the incident at approximately 10.19 a.m., police officers on patrol received a report of a theft of a car belonging to Mr. Samnao, the victim, while it was parked in the parking lot under the expressway in the Pa Wo community, Khlong Toei district, Bangkok. Officers from Thung Maha Mek Police Station went to investigate and found Mr. Samnao, the victim, standing there in a state of panic, stating that he had parked his car with the engine running at the scene of the incident in the parki ng lot under the Pa Wo community expressway to warm up the engine and was about to transport some old stuff to sell. Suddenly, an unknown perpetrator drove his car away without knowing the escape route, so he called the police to come and investigate. Later, the patrol officers of Thung Maha Mek Police Station radioed the neighboring police stations to help intercept the vehicle until they found out that the vehicle had fled towards the 5-way intersection at Ranong. They followed it, with the patrol officers of Tha Ruea Police Station and Phra Khanong Police Station also chasing after it. They were able to arrest the perpetrator at the entrance to Eua Amorn Suk Condo, Phra Khanong District, Bangkok. The pursuit took a total of 36 minutes, and they took him and the evidence to the police station. From checking the suspect's history, it was found that there was an arrest warrant for theft in a house from the Sawankhalok Provincial Court, No. 74/2567. When a urine test was done, drugs were found in the body. T he suspect confessed that he had used methamphetamine. Initially, the suspect was taken to record the daily log at Phra Khanong Police Station before being charged with theft and taken to the investigation officer at Thung Maha Mek Police Station for further legal proceedings.
