PDEA-BARMM Conducts Successful Anti-Drug Operations in Sulu

Sulu, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) has arrested a high-value target and confiscated a significant amount of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Panamao, Sulu. PDEA-BARMM Director Christian Frivaldo confirmed the arrest of Reximar Muhammad, 30, from Barangay Danag, Patikul, Sulu, following the successful operation on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Philippines News Agency, During the operation in Barangay Seit Lake Poblacion, Muhammad was apprehended after he sold 500 grams of shabu, valued at PHP 3.4 million, to an undercover agent. In addition to the prohibited drugs, authorities also seized marked money and a mobile phone from Muhammad. Frivaldo highlighted that the operation was intelligence-driven and conducted with the support of the police and military in Sulu.

In a related development, a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Rosary Heights 10 led to the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of three individuals, including the drug den maintainer Jame Cuyrill Curayat, 31, and his companions Wahid Panabal and Michael Igno. PDEA-BARMM operatives, together with local police, recovered seven sachets of shabu worth PHP34,000 and drug paraphernalia during the operation.
